Improving the Efficiency of Wooberry

Using data collection to further improve the efficiency at the local business, Wooberry Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt.

Wooberry’s ice cream process was analyzed using the store layout, the service blueprints, data collection, and value stream mapping. We found that Wooberry’s process is efficient, but there is room to improve the process with some small solutions. Several solutions that we thought of were to increase the number of employees at peak times, to display signs of the ice cream process as a visual control, to have labels on the toppings, and to have pre-scooped ice cream. With these improvements Wooberry can become even more efficient.
